Pepsi Tournament Director

The  2011 Michigan State USBC Youth Pepsi-Cola Championship Tournament has ended.  We have completed the third of three weekends for this tournament.  The scores below are  “OFFICIAL”.

We would like to Thank Nortel Lanes and Monroe Sport Center in Monroe for hosting the tournament this year.  We would also like to thank the Michigan Pepsi-Cola Organization and Brunswick for their continued support,  remember to support our sponsors.

If you notice that your name is not spelled correctly please e-mail us at ahnidy@aol.com before June 1st and we will correct it so that the plaques are printed correctly.  We need to have all corrections ASAP so that the plaques can be started at the conclusion of the tournament.

Bowlers listed in the "Leaders" link are Scholarship, Point Award, and Plaque position leaders.

I am also posting an "ALL Bowlers" link so that bowlers can see where their scores placed.  This DOES NOT mean that they are winners, it is just so bowlers can check to see where they finished.

The 12-21 years old center will advance 8 athletes to compete in the National USBC Youth Open  Tournament in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The advancers will consist of the top 6 handicap boys (B & C classes combined) and the top 2 handicap girls (B & C classes combined).  The top 2 scratch boys and the top 2 scratch girls will earn a position in the National Junior Gold Tournament that is also held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

All Scholarship & Points winners will be invited to the Michigan State USBC Youth Association Banquet which will be held in July.  The final results will be sent to the Coach of record after everything has been finalized.

Classes are determined by age as of August 1, 2010 not averages.  Class B is ages 15-21, Class C is 12-14, Class D is 9-12, and Class E is 8 and under.  Scratch divisions could be anyone 12 - 21 that declared prior to their qualifier that they wanted to compete with NO handicap.

Please read the "Scholarship Points Format" to understand how scholarship opportunities are offered.
